Best ET6 settings for the 890FXA-UD5

What are the best ET6 settings for the 890FXA-UD5 and a 1090T CPU? I am using the fan and heatsink that AMD provided with it. The temps are stable at 40 degrees Centigrade.

personally I wouldn't use EasyTune6 or any other overclocking software as I believe it is much better to make the necessary changes in BIOS so they are active as soon as you power up the PC.

You have a Black Edition CPU which makes O/Cing much easier than a standard CPU and you might want to check through this thread: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,3637.0.html as you might find it helpful.

That is how I usually do it too.  However, after upgrading to this CPU I can no longer access the BIOS.  It flashes past the screen where I am to press DEL too quickly or something.  I have tried holding the DEL key down. tapping on it repeatedly, all to no avail.  It just goes ahead and starts the OS.  <sigh>  I have sent in a request to Gigabyte tech support to tell me another way to access the BIOS.  Years ago there was a company that had a CD that you could boot with that would take you directly to the BIOS setup screen, but that was long ago.  I wonder if Gigabyte has such a utility today?

Are you using a USB or PS/2 Keyboard?

I actually have a PS/2 Keyboard that I use for playing with BIOS as I have found this to be more efficient than a USB one especially if the USB Keyboard is wireless.

Unfortunately, this mobo doesn't have a PS/2 keyboard port. It does have a PS/2 Mouse port for some reason.

I have the same motherboard and the PS/2 port on the back can be used for either a keyboard or a mouse. If you are using it for a mouse you can swap it for a keyboard as the mouse is useless in BIOS.

Thank you. I never heard of a PS/2 port that worked for either a mouse or a keyboard.  I don't use the PS/2 port at all since I have a Logitech MK700 mouse/keyboard combo. 

Well, I guess I will have to pickup a PS/2 keyboard today just so I can access the BIOS.  ROFLOL

Just remember not to plug/unplug the PS2 keyboard while you have power on to the machine otherwise you can blow the controller!

I have the Logitech MK700 and find it works fine in the BIOS on the Intel boards.
