Good to hear you have the NEC running. The Medion may not support the frequency output of either video card.
It is really unbelievable. The NEC must be older.
And it seems not to be a driver problem because it hangs at the bios. Maybe what you said: the frequency...
When the Medion is connected Windows 7 found a non-pnp-monitor and catalyst says somethong like that: maximal send resolution 640x480
When the NEC is connected it is an pnp-monitor.
At the end nothing has changed but the monitor to run the new videocard.
All settings and hardware were turn back like is was before.
Ok, the bios were FKh (?) and FG before...now it's FHm but in my case I think this would work with all the bios versions.
I should leave it as it is and be happy but I don't like it when there is an open problem
