board support info (virtualization technology)

friends, me looking for the list of Gigabyte boards which support virtualisation direct (Vt-d).

what chipsets am interested - these: P67a n P55a

mention all boards from those chips which perform vt-d.

website wasn't that helpful in getting the info.

i got the reply today from gigabyte at last.
guess what? yesterday i wrote to asus they responded to my query today.
it shows asus people work more faster than gigabyte 

i got my query answered. it's bad news. no mobo from p67 n p55 series support vt-d
only series which supports is q57 n q67 but q57 mobos from both makers are micro atx, which i don't like them.
so what should i do?

maybe i should look for other makers like evga etc who have atx mobos with q57 or q67 chips.
anyone knows about those mobos?

my last option is x58 chipset which supports vt-d.

maybe i should go with something like i7-950 processor. anyone recommend be a good gigabyte modo in this chipset? am only concerned about shooting up the total money plus heat factor in this platform, which i don't like much.

my million dollar question why why gigabyte and asus came up with such boards in 'q' series. m-atx just sucks for a long term solution.

I am running an X58A-UD7 motherboard at the moment and I would happily recommend this to you. There is plenty of power when used with an i7 especially the higher frequency chips. It is alos a very stable platform. I watercool mine and so heat is not an issue at all howver I did try it before that with just air cooling and didn't find it too bad at all. Just get a good cooler like the Noctua D14 or similar and you would not have any problem.

i admire ud7 series. see my ordered spec of such a p67 system. but this is for my personal use like movies, encoding, gaming etc. plz see the attached pic.
what am looking for is vt-d, totally different usage. actually i ve your mobo in my mind. how about ud5 or ud4p if i wish to go for saving money? plz suggest.

what am surprised is if intel could make such mobos why not gigabyte or asus? see this:

DP67BG, is a top end mobo from intel which supports vt-d. just wondering why not these guys

coz am a fan of gigabyte. it's my no.1 maker from 2005 onwards
well, in this case i've to go with the Intel coz no maker is offering atx mobos in 'q' series.
x58 is the last option. if i decide i've to start inquiring about which mobo supports what am looking for.
back to square 1. duh!!

am only in two minds coz x58 offers more pci lanes and still it has lot of future unlike some reviewers who were quick to write it off aka obsolete coz of sandy bridge. but again in price/performance sandy edges out x58 

ps: could u pls help where to look for x58 based mobo bios snaps? say for ud5/ud7. i wish to see for vt-d support mentioned in bios or not

looks like that intel mobo is the best option as of today. i gave myself time till friday, by saturday i must decide and place the order so that i could get everything by begining of next week.
