GA-P67a-UD7 & OCZ Vertex 2 & 2600k
« on: February 04, 2011, 05:53:59 pm »
hey guys ive spent allll day trying to get my windows to boot in less than 3 minutes.....unsuccessful.

Ive tried AHCI tried switching from sata2 to sata3. also upgraded the sata raid controller.

My load times are really bad as it hangs for a good 2 minutes on the "starting windows" screen.
I upgraded from 1090t + crosshair iv extreme and my load times were 18 seconds.

Does anyone have any fixes or remedies.
Any Help to get this working will be greatly appreciated.
thnakyou.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

No there is definitelly something wrong there.  I take it that you have changed all the usuall things in the BIOS such as disabled anything not being used, made HDD primary boot device, etc etc.

Is your OCZ Vertex running the latest firmware available ?

Maybe a few more details of you system would help as you haven't given us much to go on.

ive spent over 12 hrs today trying to fix this.. tried everything from disabling things in bios. reinstalled windows 6 times today.

firmware is 1.11 on the SSD. is that the problem u think?

ive ran 4 different bios's and still no go. in windows everything is quick.
its just the boot time that really drowns me.
thankyou for any help in advance.

There was a problem with the OCZ drives and Gigabyte motherboards but it was fixed by a firmware update. You would have to check on the details involved probably on the OCZ forum  would be the best place.

Can you let us have some more details of your system please?
