I set up a new system yesterday with this motherboard with 15-540, win7 pro, 4 megs, 2 wd 1gig hds set at raid 0 all went fine widows did a bunch of updates loaded fine. This morning I turn on system and get NO BOOTABLE PARTITION IN TABLE. I can get into bios and get into raid stuff but do not want to change anything till I know what to do. Any ideas what went wrong there is 1 new update available for the bios but can not figure out how to flash it since I can not get into hds.

How exactly did you setup the RAID0 arrray ?

Are you used to running a RAID system or is this your first time ?

yes this is my 1st time I could not get it to work at all with my 2 drives hooked up to the blue sata controllers The crtl +I never came up for me. Once I changed to the white sata plugs the ctrl G option appeared and I used it to set every thing up and all worked fine even when through updates and rebooted. The problem started as I say the next day when I started system up I finally got system to start after inserting windows set up disk and playing around with that but this will be main system in my office and I can not have this happen in future. This morning I wiped everything out and starting over not sure weather to try raid again through this method or do it with windows 7 pro any ideas?

The RAID you have chosen gives no security(redundancy) and is to speed up access. From what you have just said I wouldn't have thought that it would be in your best interests to try and run a RAID at all or if any a RAID1 array which at least gives you the mirroring effect, (Data Backup). For what reason did you decide to go for a RAID configuration ?

 My thoughts were to have a back up hard drive in case of failure, and I guess I should have used raid 1 for that I should have read up more before I started but question still remains would using windows 7 for this work as well as using the raid driver that comes with the board. I ask this because I also have another new system still setting up with 2- 1.5 gig drives in it with the ga-h57m-usb3 motherboard in it. And before I finalize the 2 systems I want to explore all options...

Well my thoughts would be that the Windows version would be more prone to problems as it is dependant on the OS whereas the standard RAID is enabled before the OS even loads.
