Hi Soar,
I agree it sounds a bit wrong from the retailer to wan't you to pay more to change your motherboard for the fixed version. You need to take that up with your consumer protection people.
I don't know what Giogabyt eis offering in the US but i would have thought it would just be a straight swap of boards.
By the way mine is the B2 version as they are in short supply of the B3 yet but I can have it swapped over later so no worries.
DM,
Ok, thanks. Hopefully someone else will post here and let us know how Gigabyte worked with them on their B2 return and replacement.
I was thinking about starting a RMA ticket, but then I was concerned they would ask me to ship my B2 immediately and I would have to wait perhaps months for the B3 to be shipped to me.
Right now the best road seems to be wait and maybe build with the B2, use the B2 until there is an abundance of B3's...
I suppose this will entail ripping everything apart and rebuilding the system when the B3 arrives...oh the joys of DIY!
I am not complaining...I repeat, I am not complaining....I repeat I am not complaining...
I am happy with B2. I am happy with B2...
Darn, call the woodpeckers...my nose is growing again!
