« on: March 04, 2011, 09:02:33 am »
Hello, i have gigabyte ud3r x58a rev 2  motherboard, i have experience some problems lately.
First time i had buy the motherboard had FB bios, with fb bios i had some cold boot failures now i have the ff bios my machine i think runs faster but when i going in the windows "welcome" the ssd runs slower than other times i mean showing the desktop 2 seconds later than the previous good times.
i have experience that when i install usb 3 drivers... or i dont know what else it is.
i have ahci .

maybe someone can give me link with latest drivers and latest firmware from the usb 3.

users with same motherboard please tell me what bios you use and what experience "good" you see.

Thanks .

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte forum.

Firstly you don't give us much to go on apart from your motherboard model and you have some make of SSD.

Perhaps you could list all your hardware so we have a better idea of what we are dealing with.

As for the firmware of the SSD you would have to go to the manufacturer's website for that and check if you have the latest on your drive.

Your speed decrease could be because you haven't got TRIM enabled and the drive is deteriorating or it might just be that you need to do a secure erase and then reinstall your OS.
