FLASHING THE MOBO
«

I just flashed my GAEP45-UD3P version 1.6 mobo to BIOS FE back from FFb and it flashed like I've never seen it done before. I used my thumb drive to perform the flash. What happened was I believe I hit the END key(QFlash) and I didn't get the usual prompt screen showing you the version of BIOS being flashed but instead it just went to a black screen and executed and said that the flash had been completed. Everything turned out alright. But could someone explain to me what happened. Whenever I flashed to BIOS in the past it always goes to the screen that shows you what type of flash is being performed whether using a thumb drive or floppy disc etc. Did I do something wrong?

Hi
If it all appears to be working alright I wouldn't worry. Have you verified the current BIOS version is the one you wanted ?

Yes I am sure that all is fine then. We will probably never really know what happened but it would seem to have flashed properly so that is what matters.

Did you use the autoexec file?
If so that is why, I've seen it not show anything a few times myself, not sure why it happens sometimes but not others?
