P67A-UD5-B3 - Audio quietly playing through microphone

While my mic seems to work for recording I have noticed I can hear audio output through my microphone. It is very quite, but when I hold the mic up to my ear and play a video I can hear audio coming through it. Anyone else notice this? Running Windows 7 x64 Pro and the latest drivers provided from the downloads page. I'm using the pink rear mic-in connector and it is set to microphone input. Is this an intended feature? A function of some sort of noise cancel? My mic is a Labtec.

I don't understand what you are moaning about it is something Gigabyte gave you for free! 

Microphones and speakers work in exactly the same way in principle so from that point of view I can't say I am surprised but why the signal is being transmitted to the microphone I don't know. Is it possible that the cables are running close to each other and it is crosstalk.( a frequency induced in one cable by the current in another parallel cable)
