Nice to see you got it working now!

Sorry I should have asked if that was Pre-SP1, SP1, or SP2 media - my fault for forgetting to ask and I'm sorry man!

Anyway, nice to see you got everything installed and are up and running now!

I would like to recommend to not use a legacy OS (XP) with a modern OS (Vista, Win7) for the best experience from your computer. Also be able to take full advantage of your system such as the 4GB of RAM, and the power of your 64-bit CPU, which you pay a lot of money for that feature. It is also nice to be able to use an OS that knows all your technologies inside, and not half, and fight to get things working properly.

If you are a student, see with your college or University if they are part of Microsoft MSDNAA, if you are you have Windows 7 64-bit waiting for you for free (among many Microsoft products for free).

Else, no worries, Microsoft has BIG discounts for student licenses of Windows 7 Upgrade (yes, you can do a clean install with it), for students.
