Plug your guitar into the microphone input and no sound, but if the line input, it sounds right out of the speakers ... need software to process sound (distortion, overdrive) ... update the driver ...

I'm afraid I am not that involved with the audio side of things really. I am sure that someone else will be able to help you though, maybe absic as he does a lot of music through his system.

If you really want to record your guitar you need to think about investing in a dedicated audio device and software. There are lots of options available, some of which are quite cheap others which cost a lot.

What you are trying to do and achieve will dictate the path you need to go down. For example, I use an M-Audio Delta 1010 Audio Card and Cubase software which at current costs in the UK would set you back about £865 in total. However, there are cheaper USB Audio devices that are dedicated to getting Guitar/Microphone input onto your PC and a lot also come with basic recording software.

have a laptop on it all the rules .. just great .. the delay, and the general stacionary there is no sound when the mic game
