Question about DDR3 Compatibility on new mobo , voltage thingy

Dear Forum,

I currently have a pair of these DDR3 sticks installed on  mobo MA-770t-ud3p. Despite the fact that it says on the specification "4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory" they work perfectly, the mobo adjusts it.

On the new mobo I'm going to get -> GA-880GMA-UD2H, it has the same specs with the voltage comment.
Do I need to worry about this or will it just work if I leave everything on automatic just as I did for the ud3p?  I can't see those sticks on the memory support list...just a matter of keeping the file updated probably....

Cheers,
Ken

Hi there,

If you leave at the default settings they should run at 1333MHz as they are probably doing right now, on the GA-880GMA-UD2H.

I have Corsair Dominator RAM Modules that I have used on a variety of Gigabyte boards without a problem so you should be fine.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.
