can you make some suggestions for a 3rd party HSF that will work with that GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD5-B3 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
 and COOLER MASTER HAF X RC-942-KKN1 Black Steel/ Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Hi

If you are looking to overclock this system then go for a good quality HSF. Something like the Noctua D14 is very efficient whilst still being quiet. If you are not planning to OC then it is not so important as these chips run much cooler than previous generations.

+1 for the Noctua nh-d14, the hottest core on my i7 930 @ 1.312v @ 4ghz = 68oc after several hours prime95. Its a BEAST of a hsf whilst still being quiet.

Again as DM said it depends if + how much you want to overclock. Due to 2600k being 32nm + running cool people have actually got smallish overclocks out of the stock cooler. But obviously the stock cooler isn't terribly quiet
