Your motherboard is in the qualified motherboards list at G-Skill so I can't understand why you're having this problem. Have you manually set timings in the bios? This is all I can think of, if you have try resetting everything to do with the ram to auto. Are you using the latest bios, currently F8G?

yes using the latest bios and yes i have tried manual and auto settings but it will not let me set it to 1.5v , it says 1.62v in the bios and everything i have tried in windows says 1.65v . not sure what to do apart from buying a differant mobo

You haven't enabled an XMP setting for the memory have you ? If so disable it first.

I think it might be called something else on AMD boards. Basically it is a memory profile that is pre set.

Hi there,

You don't say which Processor you are running but, if it is supported try running an earlier BIOS F7 or F6 (check here before doing this: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=3010 just to make sure your CPU is supported). There maybe a problem with the F8G which hasn't been noticed/rectified as it is a BETA version.

Well, sadly you can't roll back the BIOS then to see if it is just a glitch there. I would probably contact Technical Support and ask them what's going on.

I understand where you're coming from but I would still contact Technical Support. There have been other times when they have tweaked an "older" BIOS so I don't really see them having a problem dealing with this fundamental issue.

As to time to move on, I would say if you can hold out for another couple of months, when the new Fusion CPU's and hopefully the 9 series boards that would be the time to upgrade.

No, I have heard that before. Contact runn3R, the forum moderator by PM http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=13 and ask him to look into it for you. He is very good and if he can help he will.

Yes, sometimes things seem to get lost in the internal system. I always recommend people to post agin if they haven't had an aknowledgment in a week.
