Hey, I just finished assembling my first computer and i have a GA H67A UD3H B3 motherboard. I am struggling with the BIOS i have windows 7 and i have no idea what to do and cannot find a EASY to understand guide. I have installed windows 7 when i boot it up i will see the windows icon on the background and i can move my mouse but have no icons. Before this i installed GIGABYTE Intel 6 series utility DVD which took 16 minutes and it told me to reboot. What do i do? Does anyone know of a BIOS guide i can read?

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

I take it that everything is working and it boots to the desktop but there are no icons visible, is that correct ?

What happens if you right click do you get a dialogue box open ?

Ok easilly fixed. Right click on the desktop and select View and make sure show desktop icons is ticked.

Next right click again on the desktop and select Personalize and in  the window that opens at the top left select Change desktop icons in the dialogue box that pops up you can decide which standard icons you want to show.

I installed windows 7 again.. after installing everything it asked me to reboot so i did. It will not get past the boot up menus, and i cannot press f10 or anything to get into the menu. If i click start windows normally i am lead to a black screen with only my cursor showing. What do i do ..?

By the sound of things you have a more serious problem than the icons not showing.

I would suggest removing the motherboard with CPU, heatsink, fan, buzzer, one stick of memory attached and connect it up to the PSU outside the case. Follow these instructions:

Make sure that you observe anti-static precautions
.

Lay some cardboard or use the motherboard box that is non-conductive on the worktop and remove the motherboard/CPU/heatsink/fan/buzzer/one stick of memory and PSU from the case and put it on the cardboard. Add the keyboard and now I know you haven't got any graphics but try and boot. The system should try and then fail emitting a series of beeps. Please post what sounds it makes.
