Power-On Self-Test Display Screen

Power-On Self-Test Display Screen
« on: June 07, 2011, 10:30:43 pm »
I am running a Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H rev 1.4   w/ AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Ed. w/ 4g of  Mushkin ddr3 (2x2Gb) 1333 MHz.
Seagate 250 Gb SATA & Samsung Opt. Drive.  :-\

Everything runs fine, I would just like to see the devices being detected as the bios is starting, (HDDs, Optical Drives, Ect.)
like the older bioses used to.
As it stands the screen is just blank while bios is preforming these detections.

Have looked Extensively at bios settings and do not see anything that would indicate Power-On Self-Test Display Enable/Disable.

Thanks in advance.

Not familiar with this board but do you have a fast boot option in BIOS, if yes, have you set it to off or on ?

If you're using the onboard graphics make sure the 'Init Display First' is set to 'OnChipVGA'. If you have an add-in card set it to 'PEG'. Other than that there must be a hardware problem somewhere.
