Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

I am afraid the short answer is no. Because of the problems with the Marvell 9128 controller chip (which is the one that handles the SATA3) the fastes ports you have are the ones controlled by the Intel ICH10R (Southbridge). I would suggest putting it onto SATA2_0 and make sure that the controller is set to AHCI mode. This chip can handle all your hard drives but I would suggest putiing the optical drive on another controller set to IDE  mode.

Best "bang for buck" PCI with SATA 6Gb/s support that's bootable I found is HighPoints 640 "RocketRaid" 4 port card if your budget can stretch that far

I think I paid about £120 from ARIA.com here in the UK

I think you will find that the card that Allan is talking about will serve as well for a single drive as for RAID. There is a two port version I think too.

Yup!.... 620 (2 port)....640 (4 port) ... no onboard memory on the PCB and will run 1 SSD at full speeds, and future proofs yourself if you ever decide too..........JBOD too from Memory so you can extend the drive up to 4 units.

Also comes in an external ported version (622 and 644)  The two port version (620) is a tad over half the value I quoted earlier.

Check the spec to confirm on the highpoint website but I think there good for about 450Mb/s
