Hi all
I have some heavy issues with my RAM I believe
here are my pc specifications:
Motherboard: GA-P67A-UD4-B3
RAM: 4x Corsair XMS3 4gb
CPU: Intel i5 2500k + Corsair H70 cooling system
Graphic card: Nvidia GTX480
2 storage hard disks and a system ssd Corsair F80 disk
Power: Seasonic 750W
so I have this ram: 4x
http://www.corsair.com/memory/amd-memory-solutions/phenom-ii/cmx4gx3m1a1600c9.htmland my computer is randomly freezing when idle or when at full performance + it happens approximately twice a day after a few hours of work, but freezing so hard that keyboard, mouse... they all go off power and stuff + sound starts to be freaky and loud and 8-bit...
when I removed 2 RAM's out, everything was fine, plugged one more in (3/4), everything fine, I plug in the fourth, computer starts freezing, I tried to switch that fourth with some of other 3, same problem, I thought that RAM had problems, but RAM is ok...
I flashed my bios to final update, and I have my CPU overclocked with motherboard's software preset overclock, so no home made overclocking...
and a few words of what I tried else to fix the problem but failed:
- tried restoring bios to factory state
- changed cooling in the case
- went to pc service where I bought my motherboard, ram and processor, and they had my pc for 6-7 days and they said that it has no problem and that it didn't crashed one single time, when I got it home BAM! 2 crashes in a night... so I assume that they lied and did not know how to fix the problem
- I also thought that it's something at my home, so I took my pc to my work... and it crashed there also...
conclusion... the only thing when computer is stabile is when it has 3/4 RAM's installed...
help!!
