Don't get me wrong, I love gigabyte product, But the SOC series has seen a lot of activity on this forum and then some!
I do believe most people would be better off buying a stock card and clocking them, them selves ...... Effectively this is all gigabyte has done (and every other manufacturer)... At the very least this would save some money and disappointment when the card doesn't reach the dizzy speeds you expect because ......."it's advertised" Just like CPUs..... Some clock like demons, some get not quite there!.......if you got under the bonnet of the SOC card and reduced the clock to a stable speed, ..... it could be as little as 20Mhz and not even noticeable in real applications or gaming!
I purchased a stock XXXXXXXX GTX-480 and admittedly on water, clocked it to 950Mhz.......and saved myself enough to buy 2 new hard drives.
