corrupted memory across the sleep transition
« on: June 08, 2011, 01:13:38 am »
we are seeing a lot of issues with the H55M USB3 boards with A-RAM 1333.

The problems is corrupted memory across the sleep transition. We have updated to latest bios on these boards but still see issues.

should i be using the memory below? Is this suitable for these boards?

2GB DDR3 1333MHZ - REGISTERED ECC FULLY BUFFERED

the specific errors we see on all our builds on this platform are HAL (the platform firmware has corrupted memory across the previous sleep transition)

and VSS errors.

So far we have swapped out memory that had become faulty, tried Corsair RAM, installed new HDD's, replaced motherboards with the same model, replaced PSU, even installed a UPS at one site to test if power issues are present.

Our support requests to Gigabyte directly advised to turn off IPV6. We did this to no effect.

Hey beenie,

Im just curious if your referring to E-Sata drives?

Also when you installed a new HD, was this post Bios updates?

This might be something to read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2541014

Also can you disable hybrid sleep?  I realize that you may like to use hybrid, it may be useful info to provide for support.

p.s.  Id consider installing OS after bios update, scan for errors, defrag, and then try sleep mode.
