My big hope was to put a GA-P55-UD6 system together with (at least) 8GB of memory and use it to run a few virtual machine servers.
And, I admit, I thought that using linux as the "host" operating system would be a better choice than XP (32 bit) or Vista (shudder) or Win7 (not yet available).
But there are LOTS of nifty bits of software for the motherboard that only run under Windows (like DES-2, which I'm suspicious of, and other bits as well)
Again, I turn to the forum for advice. Has anyone considered using the board to support virtual machines?
