Ga-X58A-UD7 Will Not Boot From USB Stick
«
on:

I cannot get my X58A-UD7 to boot from a USB stick. I've tried several different types of stick (good quality) and also proved that the sticks are bootable.
I have BIOS F8
Thank you

Are you trying to install windows from the stick? if so use
http://www.microsoftstore.com.au/shop/en-AU/Help/Windows-7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool
Do you have legacy usb enabled in bios? Also have you set the boot order in bios to boot from the usb?

Thank you for your reply Fatman.
As a part of my "fault finding", i have tried the Microsoft tool. Still no luck.

Are you trying to boot from the USB 3 or 2?

I don't know to be honest. I'm using the USB ports on my case which could be plugged in anywhere.
Perhaps a try of the USB's at the rear of my machine?

Hi
Make sure that you use the rear USB ports AND you have
Legacy USB Devices
and
Legacy USB Storage
enabled in the BIOS first. Also make sure that the stick is inserted before you try and boot up. Often it will display as a hard drive.
