Ah, the dark arts of temperature reporting are once again being called into question and greater minds than mine have tried to solve this particular puzzle.
Why one piece of software reports temps in one way and another says something different is really down to the way the software is written. Gigabyte's EasyTune is probably the only one that is reporting figures that are anywhere near correct and, if you have any issues are the only ones that Technical Support will recognise.
Is 55°C too hot for the NB?
Not really and it does depend on what other hardware you are actually running, the GPU and RAM being just two considerations and also how good your PC cooling system is. I am currently running at 38°C on TMPIN 2 but the ambient temp is around 20°C and I have a good PC case with adequate cooling. When I start really loading the PC and doing some Video encoding for example, this temp can rise quite a bit higher. I have just run HeavyLoad for a couple of minutes and my NB Temp went up to 55°C which gives an example of how using the CPU and RAM at maximum load increases the temps on the NB quite substanitally.
