haha, sorry, my bad)
Will try now

ohh...wait

"How to install

This software package should be installed after the operating system has been installed.  F6 and RAID BIOS configurations need to be performed prior to installation of this software for proper operation.

Once RAID has been enabled in BIOS and the operating system is installed, double-click the downloaded file to launch the installation."

Is this ok since i made a regisstry tweak, or no?
Also when i try to install this, it writes that my system doesn't meet minimum requirements... :\
wtf?)

The only thing not in your Sig (Signature) is OS.......if it's Windows7   no need for F6 pre-install......as to the "WTF" ....I have no Idea.....It's been sooooooo long since I had a system that did not have raid.........maybe the system is seeing no raid active in bios?  .... switch back to IDE as that was what you had while installing the OS an see if that makes a difference.......you can always switch it back after it installs......or try downloading the installer again..........corruption does happen occasionally.........anybody else.....DM maybe?

Actually OS is in my signature bold fonted even :D hahah ))
Win 7 x64 SP1
I have no RAID, coz i want to use my hard drives separately, and now they all in IDE, i get this message..
It's not corrupted installer, double-checked / no dms also..

Maybe i need to switch those registry entrys back in order to install this?
Or i don't know..USe F6 with bootrom-flash disc at first?

Also, couldn't this be the cause?

Can't see the wood for the trees rings a bell!.......

I'm starting to have Marvell nightmares Ive seen it so much in the last 6 months........

  Is it Marvell!

Possibly..........right click on what you had highlighted and see if you can do an auto driver update.........if this fails.......download and unpack the driver to memory-stick/documents/desktop........where ever you normally put them for easy access .......right click again but this time choose the lower field and point to the driver you downloaded and follow the prompts..........if successful.........reboot and see if the ! has gone away in device Manager.

If yes try the IRST install again.........Hopefully it wont give you the WTF error code again ;D.........post back what happens.

Nothing :\
IRST still made it impossible...

Tell me why everyone hate marvell controller so much?)

And...I guess that was last suggestion?
So i need to kill another week with reinstalling my amayzingly huge system...

Please, provide step by step guide how to enable AHCI (without raid and all possible loose of data) when installing new Win 7 on just formated C...
Just from the beggining to the end, with all details.
I'm really afraid to loose data on other hard drivers rather than C..

Go into BIOS and change IDE mode to AHCI mode for the boot controller. Save and exit. Carry on with the Windows 7 setup.

And i won't have all of this problems with marvell?

Do you recommend to install all of my harddrive in intel controller and BD-ROM into Gigabyte's?

I think DM will back me on this one.....on your X58.......Marvell should be reserved for Optical or OFF!....Intels ICH10R controller will give you far less issues...........even to the point of not installing the Marvell Driver Pack......windows will take it over nicely and run it at SATA 2.....for less problems for your DVD as well .....run in IDE.......sometimes DVD set to ACHI can give problems in Intel based systems

Above all.......back up all your data..........even if you have to use online "Cloud Storage"

Wish i could do this...But i don't have any other hard drive to back up 3TB of information...And don't have enough money to buy new one now, and don't have any friend that could have 3TB free :D

And i prefer to jump off the window with loosing my data, than use cloud storage :D

//////
Ok...So now i'll install Windows using all possible switches in BIOS to AHCI, and all 4 harddrives installed in intel controller and dvd-rom in gigabyte's (i think that it would work at least better than marvell, wtih less issues, as far as i hear from you)

So that will give me AHCI drivers installed for all 3 controllers, and i can anytime switch the Gigabyte's and Marvell back to IDE or switch off without any trouble.
And also in that way, if i'll want to buy let's say...3TB drive that runs in 6Gb/s mode, than i could use it with Marvell controller.

Please confirm, did i get everything right?

If so,i'll start my installation.

P.S. Oh wait, if i'll leave only C and remove all other drives, they will understand after installation that they need to work in AHCI not in IDE right??

If your 3TB drive is purely Data as not the boot drive.........your data will be fine

Just connect up your drive you intend on booting from ONLY and leave your 3TB data drive unconnected (no power or sata-data cable).......then it's totally safe and will help with the initial installation......you can alway load/install the data drive later

You can actually leave the Gsata and Marvell controller off in BIOS if you have nothing connected to them......(except Optical)...this should make the installation even  easier........you can always add stuff later........as a compromise..........connect up one or two of your non critical drives to the Intel port if you want too

Believe me when I say .....there's nothing better then using a PC with a nice ,clean ,fresh install......and with your "Jump out the window 3TB disc" going in last..........your data is safe ;)

Yes you got it all right now apart from this bit:

You cannot safely use the Marvell controller for any fast access disk use. Fine for SATA2 drives or optical or anything like that but NOT SATA3 drives.

  Aussie Allan

I was not necessarilly correcting you Allan just pointing out  that the use of any fast drive is likely to be problematic. I have tried various drives and with most you can get away with it for a while but usually they will fall over at some point. Best just not to push it and stick with the slower, lower throughput drives for safety.
