CPU AUTO voltage - GA-Z68XP-UD3P
« on: September 06, 2011, 08:45:31 am »
Hi all,
i'm a happy owner of GA-Z68XP-UD3P, but i have a question about CPU AUTO voltage. (every voltage is set to AUTO), no overclock, no overvoltage.
I've noticed that CPU voltage is a bit higher than ASUS, for example: when i'm in bios, in pc health status, CPU voltage=1.236v.Other voltages are ok...Only CPU voltage seems a bit higher.
When i'm in widows, under CPU load (single thread or multithread), CPU voltage is 1.212 or 1.224.
Is this normal?

Can these voltages damage my CPU?? Can reduce my CPU lifespan??
And what's the differences about vcore set to auto or vcore set to normal?? i don't know...

When i was with ASUS, BIOS=1.192, WINDOWS= max 1.20, never 1.22 or 1.23.
My CPU temps are ok, and system rock solid....

Sorry for my English.....

Randa

HI!
and thanks for your answer...
Idle temp= 33° hottest core;
Load temp= 64° hottest core with prime95 or OCCT small data (only fitting in CPU, no ram testing);
When i play games, BC2, hottest core temp=58°.
Yes my idle temp correspond with the temp displayed in BIOS.
CPU cooler: NOCTUA NH-U9B SE2, fan at 1300rpm....
I want a super silent PC :):):)
I think my temps are ok.
I'm not interested in oveclocking..
