Hi and welcome.

I am afraid I don't know what "majool" is so I can't help there.

As for the RAID issue have you got all the chipset drivers installed and the IRST drivers ? Have you setup the RAID properly in the BIOS and afterwards ?

Win2008 should be fine.

Thanks for the clarification. Have you got the modules  (majool)  in the correct slots DDR3_1 and DDR3_3 if you have two sticks ?

What ports are you using for the RAID array ?

If you are trying to use the Marvell ports that could be your problem. The Intel ports are the fastest and most robust/reliable.

Did you have the same problem before you updated the BIOS ?

Windows 2008 should run perfectly well on this motherboard. 8)

Don't worry about the frequency of the memory for the moment as it will not make any difference to your use of the machine that you will be able to tell.

Perhaps it might help me to answer some of your questions and get a better idea of what is happening on your system if you could list your hardware by make and model please.

You will need to enter all your memory settings and voltage in the BIOS manually. Auto won't work if you have filled all the slots as with any XMP setting that is attached. You didn't say what the timings and voltage are for the RAM but just enter them as per the spec. The voltage you will need to increase a touch to compensate for the extra loading on the memory controller. If it is supposed to be 1.65v you will have to increase it to about 1.68 or even maybe 1.7v. If they are only 1.5v as standard just increase them to 1.55v.

You may have to play around with the QPI/Vtt as well but leave it for now.
