Hi,

I was considering the GA-890FX-UD5 rev 3.1 but I don't think they are available in the UK, so now I'm considering going down the Intel route. However, I may wait just to see if another stepping of Bulldozer might improve the CPU before finally deciding.

If there will be no bios for Rev 2.1 or earlier, this will be my last product from Gigabyte... MSI, ASUS and Asrock released bios for early versions.

In past 6 years, I always used giga boards (this is the 3rd one) Never used any Asus or MSI... I bought this one in last year and giga wants me to buy another one in this year? Sorry, looks like I'll leave giga...

I Sold my Gigabyte Board 4 months ago and bought an ASUS Crosshair Formula 990 for this very reason. Will never buy gigabyte again.

And the other thing; why did you change the chipset of Firewire. It was Texas Instruments (on our boards) but on 990FXA, it's ViA. TI is the best for firewire soundcards. That's another reason to not buy.
