help with overclock, i7 920, EX58 - EXTREME please¡¡¡

hi guys, I'm new in the forum, and i need your help, i want to overclock mi pc but i can't reach what i want, i have a i7 920, ex58- extreme, 12gb ram corsair 1600mhz, till today i just barely reach the micro to 3.4 with 8 gb running at 1320 mhz, i try and i try but when i set the 12 gb, the pc reboot me all the time or turn very inestable run windows but it freeze,so i'm kind of desperate....... i want to be able to overclok the micro to 3.6 or 3.8 and use the 12gb ram at default 1600mhz or 1650... please can somebody help me?.... thanks.

i managed to reach 4.0ghz with mine but i only have 6gb of ram.

with more ram your overclock will be lower so see what you can get it to with the 12gb of ram and then that will be probably the max you can get.

dependent on what voltage you are using and cooling will also limit your overclock but also try turning off the hyper threading as that helped with mine.
