I decided to try out the new F6 BIOS for my GA-MA790GP-UD4H mobo (with a Phenom II x4 940 processor). No reason just wanted to tinker. The BIOS worked fine until I tried to use AMD Overdrive 3.02. It crashed the computer (several times) with a BSOD. Went back to the F3 BIOS (I have not tried the F5) and Overdrive works fine.
So, a warning to anyone who uses Overdrive, it won't work with the F6 BIOS on this mobo.
And before anyone says....."I do all of my overclocking through the BIOS it is the ONLY way to do it." Overdrive works great for me. I run my computer undervolted (not underclocked) to keep it cooler for regular computing and can quickly overclock it for gaming without having to reboot. Works like a charm.
