GA-970A-UD3 SLI & Ram question

Hello
I recently bought GA-970A-UD3, along with AMD phenom ii x6 1100T, i bought to this ram 1600 (2x 4gb), should i let my ram run at 1333 or it is safe with this processor to get it back to 1600??
Also i have question about sli. I'm currently using gtx260, and i was thinking about getting sli, but suddenly i cant find exact answer if this motherboard supports or does not support sli. So how it is officialy??

Yep i did, but same time I'm not asking this about any processor but actual at this one which is highest am3 processor, so it would be pretty strange to not support faster ram. Cos of safety reasons i'm running 1333 but it would be nice if i could get full performance out of it.
 Still it basicly was not my main question, main one is about SLI. One reseller says it support other says it dont. And it is something i need to know ;]

I'm pretty sure that your motherboard is Crossfire capable but not SLI and with only one PCIeX16 slot and the other being X4 it most probably isn't the best motherboard for either option.

With regard to your RAM running at 1600MHz with your X6 CPU that has the E0 Stepping you have more chance of success than with other Phenom ii processors. I have 1090T running on the GA-990FXA-UD5 with 16GB of 1600MHz RAM and that is working OK (I'm doing some tests and can easily replace my CPU if it dies). But, there is still a risk to the Memory Controllers on the CPU and you have to decide if the extra RAM speed outweighs the chance of damaging the processor.

You may actually find you get a better performance from the RAM by running them at 1333MHz and tightening the timings a little. This is what I would normally be doing on my own system.

Heh thanks for answer. Ram speed is a bit worrying me in case of overclocking. ;]
I know GA-970A-D3 was crossfire ready, and i thought GA-970A-UD3 was sli ready. Either way it is not as that important. After i saw first test of Buldozer i'm thinking about getting completly new extremal pc. But do you know any amd motherboards that support sli and buldozer??

yes there are several boards that will support crossfire and SLI, the GA-990FXA UD3, UD5 and UD7 also the GA-990XA-UD3
