cannot install 6800GT drivers on MSI P55 M/board in XP

Hi I am a newbe to this forum and have a problem with a Gigabyte GV-NX68T256DH 6800GT Graphics card. I run win-7 and win-XP the card installs OK in win-7 in both 35 & 64 bit but will not install in XP. I have Conflicts with the PCI-E card slot which may be the problem. I have installed my son's ATI card 4870 and it work on all window-7 & XP without a problem. I have tried early and latest Gigabyte drivers and a range of Nvidia drivers plus the Forceware drivers. All seem to crash on the last file of the install. My setup is as follows MSI P55-GD65, Intel i5-750 cpu, OCZ modXstream-pro 600w psu, 4gb of OCZ memory. Can anyone help please.

The conflict with the PCI-E slot is nearly guaranteed to be your problem, reinstall all your chipset drivers on XP, or even better reinstall XP all together.
