Hi there,

I always feel that the old adage of: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is the best way to go with PC's and if you are happy with teh way your system is running and everything is working fine then don't update.

There are so many problems caused by users updating BIOS, drivers etc just because a new one has been released when there is not always a need for them to do so.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

Personally I'd deem a BIOS version reading "improves sytem stability" worthy of an update without many questions asked. And of course have the old, problemfree BIOS version ready in case I encounter problems with the new one.

Now, if it had read e.g "support more CPUs" or something along those lines irrelevant to me, I'd have a pass.

Yes I understand your point of view but if the OP isn't suffering from any instability problems then it really isn't going to make any difference to him anyway is it.
