GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 BIOS updates F9 & F10A

GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 BIOS updates F9 & F10A
« on: October 07, 2011, 07:36:03 pm »
Hi

Can anyone tell me where I find out what the BIOS updates are supposed to be updating.
If this info is on the download / support site i can't find it: this seems such basic info you'd think GigaByte would want us to know.

Particularly - at the moment -  I am interested in whether any of these updates - or the driver updates - are meant to be doing anything to make this MoBo more stable in its interactions with the Sandforce SSDs that seem to be such a problem.

Cheers

This is where I get my dose of Gigabyte BIOS changelogs:

With regards to the SandForce issue, you might want to try a modded BIOS with the Intel OROM v11. See if you can find it here:

(flashing your mobo with a modded BIOSes is entirely your decision/responsibility and may void your warrenty)

Hi Tippler and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

This has been an eternal issue with Gigabyte and many other manufacturers giving out enough coherent information regarding what the BIOS updates actually do. As FoLmEr suggested you can try trolling the internet for info but it can be hit and miss.

Thanks for the feedback...
I'll check out the sites and continue to wonder why they don't at least post a brief note on each update to keep their cusomers happy.
