Hello, I'm having a few issues with this board. PC:
GA X48 DS4 rev 1.3 mb
Q6600 G0 SLACR cpu
AKASA AK-965 cpu cooler
G.SKILL 4GB DDR2 PK PC2-8500C5 (2x2GB) ram
PALIT HD 4870 1GB gpu
AKASA POWERMAX 1000W psu
I had the pc overclcocked to 3.3ghz (413x8) and all seemed well. Then I rebooted and I was getting idle cpu temps of 48-51celsius where previously they had been about 36-38. The cpu fan was only at ~500rpm! This was with the f3a bios. So I went back to stock settings. I later tried the same overclock and settings with the f1 bios. Temps were normal for a while then after another reboot the fan stayed at ~500rpm and idle temps shot up (~50celsius). Everest was reading cpu fan >9000rpm while PC Wizard had it at ~500 which was the same as bios was reporting. The bios though had cpu temps at 31. So I've gone back to f3a and stock. The temps are normal now. The motherboard appears to be having problems communicating the cpu sensor temp with the fan, at least when overclocked. The +12v reading is normal in bios (12.4v) but is either not listed, is 0.0v or is ~1.4v in Everest and PC Wizard. I've checked connections. Cpu fan has always been set to smart fan control enabled and smart fan mode auto. I've also noticed that the cpu phase LEDs are no longer lit even when I run Prime95. They only come on during initial boot then go out. This is not normal, right?
All thoughts and help appreciated.
Thanks.
