gtx 480 with what card sli?

Hello i have a gigabyte gtx 480 card and i want to make sli but i dont want another 480, what i can do what card i must choose?
from what card i must start looking, i want ideas from the lowest price card to the highest, but i want work good.
because i dont know much from pcs, i wanna know if i will have better results with 2x gtx 480 and no one gtx 480+580 for example(i dont know if can be sli with 580 just make one example)


mobo : gigabyte ud3r rev 2
gpu : gigabyte gtx 480
ram : kingston triple channel 1600 mhz
psu : akasa 1000w

From what I know SLI needs identical GPU's, but with Crossfire you don't ( I believe).

So you would need 2, 480s or 2, 580s etc for this to work.

So go for the 2 480,s but if your budget allows it I would get 2 580,s.

Or just go for a single 580, your call, another factor running the 2 cards would be heat so make sure you have plenty airflow.

I would say the same. It is often better to go for an updated card rather than just adding another one in SLI mode. Usually you will find that there are other benefits along with the extra speed. There is always a loss involved with running in SLI anyway so two cards don't equal twice the power.
