Need help getting into the BIOS please

Need help getting into the BIOS please
« on: December 27, 2011, 06:12:18 am »
Merry Christmas everyone!

Ok, I am having a challenge accessing the BIOS on my Intel Rig.  The screen moves so fast it is difficult to even see the options.  I do see it says BIOS = Delete, but when I press the delete button, system goes right into the Windows.

I have tried F8, but that merely takes me to boot order.

I disabled the Gigabyte splash screen some time ago.

Any suggestions?

I was thinking about connecting a hardwired keyboard...the keyboard I am presently using is the Logitech MK 700.

It's me,

Use a PS2 keyboard and you will be able to access the BIOS.I had the same problem which was solved by a cheap PS2 keyboard.Once you have done the changes you desire, you can then return to using your preferred keyboard, keeping your PS2 keyboard for accessing the BIOS.

Steve,

Yes, you are totally correct!

I plugged in a PS2 keyboard I found laying around and sure enough, it gained me access to BIOS immediately after pushing the Delete key during the start up process.

Thanks again!

Glad you manmaged to get it sorted with Steve's help Soar. It is a very common problem that is usually sorted out by the use of a PS2 keyboard. If you enable Legacy USB devices once in the BIOS you should find that the drivers will be in place for USB keyboards next time.

Thank you DM!

Ok, please tell me where I can find Legacy USB devices in the BIOS.

Thanks and happy Holidays to you and your family from me and my little birds!
