Hi again,  ;)

On the forum, I tried searching the clerical error''NiiCK''... I have not found.
Except in your own message.

While I understand that your name is MiiCK.
Not NiiCK ... It would have been a bit special NiiCK as a nickname.

Speaking of language.
I am on the forum, just to practice my English writing. I use translation websites also help.

In fact, I like helping people.

*HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!!*

OK! Here we again! During the night I took out the battery and today afteroon I tried inserting it again. Same story without success.

I made this short video:

http://s601.photobucket.com/albums/tt97/Krakatao/?action=view&current=MOV08769.mp4

This is what I experience every time I try to turn my PC on.

Here are the pictures from bottom of my 2500k and motherboard pins:

http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt97/Krakatao/DSC08770.jpg
http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt97/Krakatao/DSC08771.jpg
http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt97/Krakatao/DSC08772.jpg

http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt97/Krakatao/2500k/DSC08797.jpg

It is very difficult to take some good pictures because of light and because they are gold color and have some weird angle. However I don't see any suspicious bent pins.

While I was looking for bent pins I found this strange metal object beneath metal load plate.

http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt97/Krakatao/2500k/DSC08777.jpg
http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt97/Krakatao/2500k/DSC08784.jpg

It could be from manufacture while they were attaching this metal plate. I removed it and hoping for the best. Sadly no success even this time. Maybe this particle burnt my mobo?

After that I tried to surf on the internet for common problems and found this guy with exactly the same problem and almost the same PC configuration:

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/319341-13-first-boot-happens-help-video-pictures-included

He even put some youtube videos... He managed to turn his machine on afterwards but reading through his post he doesn't know what caused the problem.

Well i'd contact Gigabyte to be honest, that shouldn't have been there and could well have caused an issue.

Try a few more steps first, i'm sure gloup and DM will post some more steps to take, i've got to dash out now.

Hi Krakatao,

With regards to your RAM.....have a read of the contents of the link below:

http://www.ocztechnology.com/ocz-ddr3-pc3-16000-gold-low-voltage-dual-channel.html

"OCZ low-voltage DDR3 kits are designed specifically for the Intel® P55 Chipset and subsequent Intel® Core™ i7, i5, and i3 (Socket 1156) processors. Configured for dual channel mode, these ultra-compatible 4GB kits ensure optimal performance with an ideal combination of low power requirements at 2000MHz".

Haven't you got socket 1155 with your motherboard?

To be sure about compatibility why not use a memory configurator like the ones here:

http://www.corsair.com/learn_n_explore/

And here:

http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=GA-Z68X-UD4-B3&Cat=RAM

Just by reading the OCZ description of their RAM it would appear that it may not be compatible.

Once your sure all components are compatible....but still don't function as they should then you can really start to narrow it down......just a thought.

Hope this helps

Really thx for your help! Good and valuable information! I tried to boot without RAM too so I expected that I will hear some beep sound. Motherboards usually do that right? From my previous (not that numerious) experience regardless of RAM being incompatible with mobo CPU fan should start spinning and I would hear some beep sound. That's why I excluded RAM.

But I will give a try and buy another RAM from those compatible lists. Hopefully my PC will start responding. I will keep this thread updated for others with similar error.

Well..it was just an observation more than anything. Also, as you probably know, using known "good parts" and swapping them around to narrow things down  cpu...RAM...etc. You obviously have the option of taking it to your PC store and getting the MB tested if you suspect it is the MB.

So the story so far may be:

PSU - OK

GPU  - OK

RAM - try compatible..

MB - doesn't beep....so possibly MB

Have you tried the same components on a another MB?

Also as MiiCK has stated you can contact Gigabyte Technical Support and raise a support ticket especially if your MB is still under warranty...see link below:

Hello everybody! Thx for those valuable links. I really learnt a lot from them!

Like I promised I will never close this thread without giving some words about final outcome. I really hate all those unhelpful threads where you find your problem then read it from start to bottom only to find out that the guy who started the thread was too lasy to come back and give an update.

Yestarday I finally received a call from PC service shop and they said that my motherboard is defective. So all of you who have similar problems (after completing all those crucial steps found in those previous valuable links) you know what you have to do - unfortunatelly return your mobo if it still under warranty!

Thx to everyone for your time and help!
