Gigabyte GA965p DS3 BIOS

Gigabyte GA965p DS3 BIOS
« on: October 28, 2009, 04:43:55 am »
When setting up the Gigabyte GA965p DS3 Rev 1.0
Xeon 3070
Memory:2 - G.Skill F2-8500CL5-2GBPK DIMM DDR2 -10666 - total 4 GB
ATI Radeon HD 3850

I want to use the latest BIOS for it.
I will be running Windows 7 64 bit.
Which is the correct BIOS?
I see so many listed up to F14 which I am sure(?) includes rev 2, 3.3 etc but I don't really know that!
Please advise.

Thank you,
Stephen1949

Hi,
Use the @BIOS / Q-FlashSmart and automatic BIOS update via internet / BIOS built-in flash utility,Here,
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=2314
If your computer is working ok as is, unless an extra functionality is required why update!
Regards

HI All and thanks,

So is Q-flash already in the native BOIS? OR do I have to download some utility.

I upgrade the  BIOS to enhance the board. Seems to me when I read through the Bios revisions there have been a lot of updates.

I got this board without a CD with apps. What is the app that will allow me to do the auto driver inspect and advise updates?

Which of the utilities should I download?

Thanks again,
Stephen

Hi,
F9 will take you to Q-flash on startup,
Go with the BIOS that will give you the options you want, Don't update just for the sake of it,
Go here for any drivers/utilities, manual would be good for a start,
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2314
Tis up to you which utilities you want or need,
download them and play about with them, HaHa
Enjoy
