Compatibility CPU Intel Xeon E3-12xx AND Z68-P67-Q67

I am a curious person and methodical.

I have a many infos :

In the CPU support List of:

GA-Q67M-D2H-B3 (rev. 1.0)

I do not find a Intel XEON CPU like :

This CPU have a process 32nm and use a Sockets 1155 like a processors in the CPU support List

Because here you have in the cpu list ON Asus Web site, the cpu both :

Why is able on Asus and not on Gigabyte product?

In practice I question whether it is correct to install a cpu Xeon ON ALL motherboard Z68, P67 or Q67?

If anyone has any information on this subject, it will be interesting to document the possibility of using a cpu Xeon ON platforms Z68, P67 or Q67 as appropriate.

I also have this question.

I was looking to get a Xeon E3-1230 CPU and use it with a GA-Z68M-D2H motherboard.

As Gloup_Gloup points out Intel states Xeon E3's are compatible with Z68 chipset and ASUS are saying the E3's are supported on their Z68's.

The main thing about Xeons is the ability to use ECC memory, but Non-ECC is also supported.  Has Gigabyte just forgotten to put the E3's on the Z68 mobo's compatibility list or is there a specific reason E3's are NOT compatible?

Unfortunately I need to build my system asap and as this question was asked on Jan-4 and has got no answer I'm guessing no-one knows :-(

If anyone at Gigabyte can give a definative answer quickly I'd me most apreciative as I dont particularly want to go Asus.....

And check on the other forum for help...

Do not forgot update a Bios of P8B_WS...

I would have thought that as long as you were happy to use the non ECC memory that they would be supported but I would advise checking with GGTS to make sure.
