Normaly yes, but if you have need this ''fail safe parameters'' why not...
It depends on your problematic situation ... or perhaps to some specific tests
EDIT01: By exemple, if you put a Device in PCI port or any other ports... and you have a problem ... for boot.
Maybe the device is faulty...
Check manualy your Bios after make a choice.. just for view a differences...
Do not forgot make IN Main page BIOS, a CTRL+F1 .. for see a Hidden function or parameters in BIOS....
