« on: February 14, 2012, 10:11:38 pm »
Hi, so i got the above motherboard with a 1055t proceser with a noctua nh-d14 cooler, i'm now upgrading the ram and need to no if 1.6v-1.65 ram will work, the manual says 1.5v for the ram, i'm thinking of getting corsair xms3 ram link here-> http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/memory-pc/ddr3-pc3-10666/1333mhz/tw3x4g1333c9a.html or should i get this ->http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/memory-pc/ddr3-pc3-10666/1333mhz/cmx4gx3m1a1333c9.html .I need small size ram to fit under the cooler(40mm max) Thanks for looking.

Play it safe. get the 1.5 volt ram.  Corsair XMS3 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 PC3-10666 C9 1333MHz Memory Module.

Options get the 1.6 volt ram and hope it works or that you can turn up the voltage manualy and hope the motherboard and or processor can handle it over time.

Already told you what options i would do.

Besides i am sure you already know that neither are on the approved list of ram for that board, Saying that is hard to keep the list up to date.

Its hard to find memory thats on the list, i'm swayed towards 1.5v at the moment.

Right voltage so less trouble. So you went from 4 gig down to 2 gig, Thats fine for xp but if your running 7 home premium or any windows 7 then you really want 4 gig. To me thats as low as you go on 7 i used 4 and then went to 8 and now im at 16 and i could tell a huge difference each time.

Just remember that 32 bit windows wont see all four gigs and please do let us know how it turns out.

All working  :D only just fits between the cooler and board at an angle, any bigger and the cooler would have to come off.Task Manager says i got 3325mb, like you said thats windows..
