GA-890FXA-UD5 RAM Question

Hi all, I this i my first topic.
I have GA-890FXA-UD5 + 1055T + Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz 9-10-9-27-48-2T, and I want to overclock cpu @ 3.92GHz without overclocking ram:
cpu host freq: 280x6.66(ram multip)=1866MHz.
I can not remain stable because ram options set timing at 9-9-9-24 in auto, and if i want to set them manually i can not select right value for each latency.
If anyone have same ram, please help me...Thanks

your problem is that is to much overclock on that board it is rated at 1600 max and that processor is also. If you just wanted to overclock cpu then you should of got a black edition.

Only option you have now is to overclock the way you are but that is putting alot of stress on that cpu's memory controller. What you are going to end up doing is frying that board and or that cpu. Back it off till its stable then back off a little bit more or risk losing it.

BTW this thread should of been started in the overclocking section of the forum.

Also include all specs as it matters what O.S. you are using and PSU things like that make alot of difference.

Hi there,

you would face the same issue whichever motherboard you were using as this is down to the CPU being locked and to O/C it you will automatically raise the speed of the RAM.

When you overclock a 1055T or other locked CPU it is a good idea to lower the base speed of the RAM in BIOS to x5.33 or even x4.00 to allow for the increase in speed that will automatically occur when you raise the speed of the CPU
