B75M-HD3 strange boot loop

B75M-HD3 strange boot loop
« on: March 28, 2013, 11:12:04 pm »
When trying to boot Windows 7 Pro x64 on B75M-HD3, I am stuck onGigabyte logo and computer keeps restarting over and over and never starts loading OS. However, if I enter BIOS settings or even press F9 for system info, system then boots fine. Windows 7 installation was smooth with no errors, and it runs fine once it loads. What I have tried:
- trying to change all relevant settings in BIOS
- updating to F3
- I've installed the same OS from the same medium on other computer and it works fine, no loops
- when only restarting, sometimes it boots normally, sometimes not
Any idea how to fix it and what may be the cause of this problem?

My hardware:
CPU Intel G1610
RAM Kingston KVR16N11/4 4GB
HDD WD6400AAKS

So if you run it at the bios default setting it will run fine right. The only thing you should really have to set in the bios is the memory speed.

It will pick it up at maybe 1333 and you will have to set it 1600. Other than that you shouldn't have to set any thing else in the bios.

If it was a windows problem than it would loop from the windows logo screen. You are not getting to that just yet.

It sounds more like a memory problem than anything. Try to just run one stick memory at a time. To see if it is one of the sticks of memory.

It doesn't run even on default settings, I've tried to reset it and it didn't help.
I have only one memory stick, it runs at 1333 by default, I didn't change anything there. I'll try to look at it as soon as possible.

One other thing do you have another brand of memory to try.

I had a computer doing that one time change the memory.

As far as I know the person has never had a problem since with it.
