GA-MA770-US3 , Phenom II 965 BE C3 Voltage ?
« on: April 20, 2012, 04:23:52 am »
Why is my CPU voltage so high ? ALL BIOS settings is set defaults! Also I try 2 BIOS versions - FKb and FJ. No change - default CPU is 1.450v in bios. It should be 1.375v for C3 ???? What is the reason, Motherboard or CPU ? Is it gigabyte mb overvolt or this depends from the CPU itself ? Please help....
btw I don't have any issues, only this HIGH voltage. Is this "bad" CPU piece or this voltage have nothing to do with the CPU. Please explain me. Thanks

From all i have read that is normal for that processor. Nominal Voltage 0.875-1.5V   If you like go to voltage control and try turning it down. When AMD made that processor 125 watt instead of the normal 140 watt they raised up the voltage to compensate for it.

2 choices turn it down manually and see how it acts or return it and try a different one.
