Question :  Dear GIGABYTE,

Thansk for your kind advices.

I contacted my PSU manufacture to know its +5Vsb/2A standby power duration and they said +5VSB/2A will remain upto 5 Min after OS shut-down and after 5 Min PSU will be in energy-save mode around 1 W to save energy-consumption. Also, they said that all of current PSU manufacture is using the energy-save function to limit its Vsb to 1W after some minutes of OS shut-down.

FYI, the RJ-46 port light is blicking indicating the port is in activie even when PSU is in the envery-save mode.

I hope GIGABYTE to modify BIOS to match with the currently/widly used PSU function. Also, you needs to descrive in the operator manual that to use WOL, PSU should maintain at least +5Vsb/1A after OS shut-down even after PSU is in the energy-save mode. Moreover, there is no BIOS option to enable/diable WOL which user can select, because I tested to use win 7 S3 energy save-faunction but it waked up again just after OS got into S3 mode so I looked over BIOS option to diable WOL function but there isn't on BIOS. So, I gave-up S3 function.

Consequently, GA-Z77X-UD3H(rev. 1.1) doesn't support WOL and S3 mode, I guess. As far as I know, GA-Z77ZX-XXXX is the advacned main-board series in your main board model, however it doesn't match up with the name of GIGABYTE in this filed.

Hoping the next BIOS revision.

Best regards,

==========

Thank you for your kindly mail. Because we didn't encounter the issue you mentioned before and this feature (WOL) requires an ATX power supply that provides at least 1A on the +5VSB lead, kindly make sure the power cord is connected even shutdown the motherboard from OS.

Regards,
GIGABYTE

Question :  About 5 min after normal o/s shut-down, I can't wake system using WOL(wake-on-lan) through router portforwding function. But, within 5 min after normal o/s shut-down, WOL works well.

The windows' energy-save function was deactivated by cmd powercfg -h off.

To isolate this problem further, I tried it without router and the same problem was found.

Your prompt reply would be much appreciated.

Default BIOS setting is used.
