GA-Z77X-UD5H + Xeon?

Hi guys,
Maybe u can help me, I googled a lot but still cannot find an anwser. Does GA-Z77X-UD5H support Xeon processors especially e3-1230? I would really like to combine these two but also I don't want to risk buying the processor that I can't use.Does this mobo support HT too? Thanks for any help.

but you may ask their support directly (gts.gigabyte.com)

HT is inside the cpu's so should be supported with no problem

Again, I woulkd have thouight that they should be supported but I do know they aren't on the list. I can't see why they wouldn't be ok but as Beekeeper said check with GGTS to make sure.

Hi, thanks for replies. I did send a question to support stuff before even posting on this forum but as expected I just only got the link to supported cpus and answer "no" (which for me means "I just don't know, don't ask"). However in download section there is a new BIOS dated 26.04 where in comments is stated "Support Intel Xeon Processor" what sounds quite optimistic . Do I need another CPU to be able to update mobo to new BIOS?

If you have a current BIOS that is lower than the one you need for the Xeon then yes you will need a supported CPU to run the BIOS update.
