GA-Z68AP-D3 v2 UEFI Problem
« on: July 01, 2012, 01:58:40 am »
Hi,

I just upgraded my BIOS (FD) to UEFI (UA5), but now if I have my XFX-6870 video card installed it never reaches the post screen, it just loops on and off. If I remove the card or just unplug the power cables to the video card everything works fine if I use the Intel IGP. I have tried changing boot priority to PEG but that did not help.

As I am new to UEFI's, what could I be missing?

Thanks,
DS

Hi

There are normally a couple of different sections to enable or check as primary use. I would just suggest going through the pages and make sure that everything is pointed to the discrete GPU as the primary device. Also make sure that you have it in the top PCIEX16_1 slot and that is again used as the primary slot.
