No Post sound?

No Post sound?

Hi Guys
my first post on this forum.
Have just purchased and fitted a GA-H61M-S2PV motherboard. For such a cheapy, I am impressed!
I have just one question - although all is functioning correctly with no problem - noticed there is no 'post sound' on startup. With the board now hidden within the case, I cannot readily look for any provision for the fitment of a bleeper.

Should the board bleep as standard?
If not, is there a header on the board for the fitment of a bleeper (Like the Foxconn boards have)
Look forward to your comments

Hi & welcome,

Do you have a speaker fitted in your case? if so you are able to connect a speaker wire to this board for beeps etc.

Do you have the manual that came with the motherboard? as it is detailed in there.

If not you can download a copy from this site: http://download.gigabyte.asia/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_ga-h61m-s2pv_e.pdf

Hope this helps.

Hi Ben
you are right - I have no case speaker, so have used a plug-in beeper before.
On my last two boards the header was far away from the front panel connector panel. I wrongly made an assumption this would be the same.!

As you say - the required header on the front panel connections is staring me in the face!!!!!!As the expression go's - 'Should have gone to specsavers'
Many thanks for your help

Anytime just glad it was an easy fix.

You have Specsavers over there too?

Strange thing is I use them when I get my glasses.

I think that's where specsavers originated from. No/yes?
