Hello all.
I have GA X58A UDR3 (rev2.0) motherboard with RAID 0 setup using the ICH10 INTEL chip.
Everything worked fine, until i got the brilliant idea to blow out the dust, and thus needed to disconnect the hard drives.
Well, the case is clean
but now my system won't boot (Win7 64b) Disk Boot Failure...
I'm unable to get into the RAID bios. Normally the POST shows: Press <CTRL + I> to enter RAID BIOS, but the system does not display this message anymore.
On POST it detects both hard drives and under both drives, it says: Drive is controlled by RAID BIOS
BIOS version is FH.
The 2 hard drives are connected at SATA_0 and SATA_1. Only the DVD drive is connected in the MARVELL port SATA_6. That is all. Detached te DVD drive to see if it would make any difference... No luck.
How do I enable the CTRL+I to get access to the RAID BIOS?
I know with RAID 0 there is no recovery, but i have most of my documents/photo's etc.. on external USB disk, so i dont mind having to reinstall the OS. I would only lose all my internet favourite bookmarks, some latest changes in a few documents and some downloads, but that is really not an issue.
Things I already tried:
- Clear the CMOS
- Load Optimized Defaults -
- Integrated Peripherals
- - eXtreme Hard Drive (XHD) Disabled - ICH SATA Control Mode RAID (XHD) - SATA Port 0-3 Native Mode Disabled
No change, still no CTRL + I
- - eXtreme Hard Drive (XHD) Disabled - ICH SATA Control Mode RAID (XHD) - SATA Port 0-3 Native Mode Enabled
No change, still no CTRL + I
- - eXtreme Hard Drive (XHD) Enabled - ICH SATA Control Mode RAID (XHD) - SATA Port 0-3 Native Mode Enabled
No change, still no CTRL + I
- - eXtreme Hard Drive (XHD) Enabled - ICH SATA Control Mode RAID (XHD) - SATA Port 0-3 Native Mode Disabled
No change, still no CTRL + I
Am I overlooking some setting? I don't know and would appreciate the help.
