Hello this one has got me stumped,

my configuration,

Intel Ivy Bridge "Intel Core i7-3770K"

Corsair 600w PSU

OCZ 1600 Mhz ram.(OCZ3G1333LV8GK) this is on the supported memory(QVl) pdf from gigabytes website i tried some Kingston HyperX 1600mhz Ram from my working pc. neither seem to work.

When powering on the cpu fan spins once , the LED's Flash in top right of motherboard then it switches off, no post no beep codes nothing,

Ive tried this with a graphics card plugged in a XFX 6870 and just with the onboard card.

Same result.

Hi there,

this could be the usual problem of the motherboard BIOS not supporting the CPU as the BIOS needs to be the F12 version and the motherboard would probably have an earlier BIOS.

All you can do is either: use a supported CPU that runs on the F4 BIOS so you can get the system started and update to the F12 BIOS

Find a local PC repair shop and ask them to update the BIOS for you. This will usually incur a charge but it is often the quickest and easiest way forward.

Arrange an RMA with your motherboard supplier and get them to update the BIOS for you.

For supported CPU's check here:
Motherboard Rev 1.3 http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=3973
Motherboard Rev 1.0 http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=3853
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.
